새벽을 노래하는 싱어송라이터 정새벽. 정새벽은 누구나 한 번쯤 겪어본 새벽의 쓸쓸함을 어쿠스틱 사운드와 따스한 목소리로 차분히 풀어내며 자기 고백적인 작품을 선보인다. 사랑 이야기보단 사람의 이야기를 하는 가수가 되고 싶다는 다짐처럼 그녀의 노랫말에는 사람의 이야기가 가득하다.

2020년 싱글 <너에게>로 데뷔한 정새벽은 문학적인 가사를 기반으로 따뜻한 감성을 담은 싱글들을 발표하며 한 편의 수채화 작품을 보는 듯한 디스코그래피를 구축해왔다. 2023년 뮤지션 큐레이팅 프로젝트 'SUM pick!'에 선정되었으며, 같은 해 <Love, hope and youth>로 단독 EP를 발매해 왕성한 활동을 이어나갔다.
2024년 3월 싱글 <먹어버리자>로 소중한 사람들이 힘들어할 때 "내년엔 봄나물을 먹으러 가자"며 위트 있는 위로를 전했고 이어 싱글 <노란 꽃>을 발매하며 특별한 사랑에 관한 이야기를 들려주었다.

True to her vow to be a singer who tells human stories rather than love stories, her lyrics are filled with tales of people.

"We were so young. Though we weren't as colorful as wildflowers, we were wildflowers blooming in a small, crumbling corner of the vast world." — <Wildflower> (2021), singing of youthful days based on the story of a 100-year-old grandmother.
Debuting in 2020 with the single <To You>, Jung Sae-byeok has built a discography that feels like watching a watercolor painting, releasing singles with warm emotions based on literary lyrics. In 2023, she was selected for the musician curation project 'SUM pick!' and released her solo EP <Love, Hope and Youth> in the same year, continuing her active career.
In March 2024, she released the single <Eat It Up>, offering witty comfort with the line "Let's go eat spring herbs next year" to those struggling, and followed it up with the single <Yellow Flower>, telling a story about special love.
